Northstar Coding Assistant
Northstar is a multi-agent coding assistant that lives inside Visual Studio Code. Unlike single-turn AI assistants, it can plan, act, and self-correct — executing real tool calls (file edits, terminal, browser, git) until a goal is complete. Works with any OpenAI-compatible endpoint — local models via Ollama, OpenRouter, or OpenAI/Anthropic.
Installation Options
Option 1: Quick Install (Terminal)
Run this single command in your terminal to download, install, and bypass security warnings automatically:

1. Download the DMG installer using the link below.
2. Double-click the DMG and drag Northstar to your /Applications folder.
3. If macOS blocks it on first launch (showing only "Done" and "Move to Bin"):
Click Done → open System Settings → go to Privacy & Security → scroll down to Security → click Open Anyway (confirm with your password).
⚠️ Note: Launch the app again, and click the new "Open" button on the warning dialog to authorize it permanently.
